Strategies to get the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Start by having your family agree to dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. X-8 Ocean Lakes great location 4 bdrm\/3bath limo golf cart has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or applied to your invoice.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
