Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefectrental home:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. New Landmark Resort Oceanview
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
