Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Kingston Resort: Winter rates, Ground floor, 7 min walk to beach, two decks has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
