How to find the best rental home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Large Oceanfront 3 Bed Unit (4th Floor)-by Luxury Beach Rentals has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
