Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • To start, have your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Sands Ocean Club,Studio, Ocean View, Ocean Annies! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
