Comments from a recent guest:

Dear Joe,

Thank you so much for accepting us to rent the Seawatch condo last week. We thoroughly appreciated our time there! The vistas from the unit are fabulous, as you promised. The condo is well equipped and the large TV was a additional. It was nice to be able to use my iPod, as well. I have never slept in such a comfortable bed. I am now encouraging (he calls it "nagging"!!) my husband to get a pillowtop bed!

We also adored many local attractions throughout the week such as mini golf, Medieval Times, NASCAR, aquarium, shopping, shopping, shopping. My husband went fishing with a tour group based in Little River, as well. The best part was really spending quality time as a family walking along the beach and picking up shells. Life can be hectic so this "down" time was really
appreciated.

Thank you once again. You are really blessed to have this property as your own.

Sincerely,
TL

Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Newly Renovated Direct Oceanfront 3BR\/2BA Condo With Large Wrap Around Balcony! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
