Comments from a recent guest:
Dear Joe,
Thank you so much for accepting us to rent the Seawatch condo last week. We thoroughly appreciated our time there! The vistas from the unit are incredible, as you promised. The condo is well equipped and the large TV was a additional. It was nice to be able to use my iPod, as well. I have never slept in such a comfortable bed. I am now encouraging (he calls it "nagging"!!) my husband to get a pillowtop bed!
We also adored many local attractions throughout the week such as mini golf, Medieval Times, NASCAR, aquarium, shopping, shopping, shopping. My husband went fishing with a tour group based in Little River, as well. The best part was really spending quality time as a family walking along the beach and picking up shells. Life can be hectic so this "down" time was really
appreciated.
Thank you once again. You are really blessed to have this property as your own.
Sincerely,
TL

Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local tours and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Newly Renovated Direct Oceanfront 3BR\/2BA Condo With Large Wrap Around Balcony! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
