Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your group choose dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Luxury 4 bdrm Margate condo- Book your summer vacation now! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If not, contact the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
