Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking yourvacation home:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Ocean Blue Penthouse 2 - NEWLY Renovated - Oceanfront, Indoor Lazy River, Pool has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
