Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 1139A in Ocean Lakes. 6BR\/3B. Just 2 min walk to the beach. has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
