Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront!! Great views of beach! 5BR\/3Bath has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
