Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Paradise Three-Bedroom Condo 16th Floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your vacation family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
