Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Choosing and booking the perfectvacation home:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Studio Suite~Sea Mist 20703 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
