Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- First, have your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Three Bedroom Ocean Front Condo, Myrtle Beach (2171704) has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
