Rental property booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. PENTHOUSE D Brigadune's Premier Penthouse has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
