How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Perfect Vacation walk to the beach (11) has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Advice for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
