Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Perfect Vacation walk to the beach (11) has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
