Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Perfect Vacation walk to the beach (7) has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
