How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Priceless Paradise has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
