Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Private Beach Oasis & Free Daily Massages! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
