Our top Rental property booking tips:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Beachside Delight Suite with Views 12th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
