  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 4 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1600 square feet

Ours is a 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home that sleeps 14 people comfortably. What sets this home apart from other homes in the area is the location on gorgeous Magnolia Lake and the close proximity to the ocean. It was constructed to maximize the view of the ocean, but it's also on a peaceful cul de sac that is away from the noise of the park. PEACEFUL is the word that describes this home. Fishermen adore that they can fish right from our home. There are 2 enormous decks where you can gather as a group or get away for sunbathing. It is well furnished and all linens are available. There are few other homes in the Ocean Lakes complex that are as clean and well constructed as this one. People who stay here always tell us that this is their favorite home at Ocean Lakes.

Please note that Ocean Lakes charges a parking fee per car. Contact Ocean Lakes Family Campground for more information.

About the Area

Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Quiet Lake House with Spectacular Ocean View has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your contract.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
