How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Recently updated Oceanfront Studio- Sea Mist 20306 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
