Tricks and tips for getting the best rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. T1210 Myrtle Beach Resort: Relax in Coastal Comfort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
