Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Royale Palms 1706 Renovated Oceanview w\/Pool\/Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your family.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
