Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Narrow your Search:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Royale Palms 1706 Renovated Oceanview w\/Pool\/Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Know before you go:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
