Tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
Finding your best deal:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Sand Dunes Resort-Unique& Beautiful Remodeled Oceanfront Studio-Indoor Pool Spa\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is right for your group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
