Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sands Beach Bliss: Waterfront Retreat has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
