Finding the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick your prefectvacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Seaside Living 6th Flr 3BR Angle Ocean View Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
