Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Seaside Serenity: Partial Ocean View Room 1st Flr has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
