Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
How to pick the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Serenity 19th Floor Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
