Booking the best vacation property experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Spacious 3 Bedroom in Ocean Lakes w\/ Golf Cart! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is right for your family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a great stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
