Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Select vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Spacious Coastal Living 3 Bedroom Condo 1st Floor! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
