Our top Rental home booking tips:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Spacious oceanfront condo located on Shore Drive + Free Attraction Tickets! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
