Strategies to get the optimal vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. STUNNING, AMAZING LAKEFRONT MH89A FABULOUS OUTDOOR LIVING! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
