Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation home:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 2023 Remodeled Tons of Amenities has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Have a great stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
