Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking the perfectrental:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. The view of Haven!\n\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.
Have a great stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Call the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
