How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Top Floor - KING BED! - CLEAN! - The View!! - FULLY RENOVATED has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
