How to find the best rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Summer 2025 weeks available. Amazing OCEAN VIEW on popular Shore Dr.. 2BR 2 bath has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
