Rental home tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book your prefectrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Summer 2025 weeks available. Amazing OCEAN VIEW on popular Shore Dr.. 2BR 2 bath has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
