Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To get the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by having your group commit to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Water Front Wonderland Myrtle Beach Pets Welcome! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
