Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Blissfull Sanctuary by myBeach Vacation Rentals has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
