Rental property booking tips and tricks:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by having your family agree to the best dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. BRIGADUNE 3 BR -- \"BEACHY\" has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
