Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain deals for local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Serene Oceanfront Suite, Dogs Welcome! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
