Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Five 2BR\/2BA Suites has 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

During your stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
