Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Gleaming Oceanfront 3 BR Condo 16th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
