Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 2- Bedroom OceanView Condo at Marriott OceanWatch Villas week in MAY 2023 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the host before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
