Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing and booking the bestrental:
- Select your vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Diamond in the Sand has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
