Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental home:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 2nd-floor oceanfront studio with pool, hot tub, & AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
