Each property is equipped with one or more rental boxes. Our guests appreciate complimentary blockbuster units during their stay.
Free Attraction Ticket Program - All Oceana Resorts guests are included with a package of tickets from local partners. Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 9th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ WiFi, Shared Pool\/Hot Tub, W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
