Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sweet Caroline 5 Bedrooms Short Walk to Beach has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
