Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. B102 Myrtle Beach Resort: Sun, Sand, and Serenity: Your Beachfront Stay has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
