Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- To start, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. B228 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Tranquil Coastal Escape has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Advice for a great stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
