Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful Lakefront Beach Home 300 feet from the beach, Quiet dead end street has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
